Some of them tickle me
they make me laugh,
make me smile,
Make me cry, tears of joy.

They can never hurt me,
but describe who I am.
Say them and listen;
are they right or wrong?

Whisper them,
and everyone can hear.
Say them out loud,
and no one listens.

In one ear and out the other,
where do they go?
Into the abyss,
or break the heart?

Don’t say them,
unless you mean them.
Careful what you say,
Words come back to you.
