Hello tree,
oh, so tall,
so strong too.

Please,
do not repeat,
the words I say.

I am weak
I am the Robin,
and I trust you so.

You hold me high,
and my children too
a shelter in the storm.

You extended a branch,
when I was weary,
when I could not go on.

You listened to me,
without a reply,
but all that you are.

Thank you, tree,
from a grateful bird,
a living soul.
