Puppies in the Garden

Daffodils,
beautiful flowers,
ushering in springtime,
then gone too soon.
They always come back.
Puppies,
Ushering in sunshine,
love and cuteness.
Like daffodils,
they leave too soon.
Despair not,
love’s not in vein,
Your Puppies will be there,
when you arrive,
for a joyful reunion.
For all my puppies who I long to see again.
