I open my mouth and say “ah”
The doctor looks closely.
But, she can’t see everything inside me.
She asks, “how do you feel?”
I say “fine.”

No treatment,
no medication,
no x-ray,
no surgery,
can fix me.

She asks, “why are you so tired?”
“From the pain,” I say.
Tired of trying to fix this thing.
She nods and says, “hmmm.”
“I do care about you,”

I say, “That’s enough and it helps.”
I leave,
a little bit stronger.
A bright light helped.
So glad to have my doctor.
