What is it about you?
You squander citizens.
They suffer and die.

The year of lamentation
Tears for the lost

Yeh though you walk through the corpses,
you are the grim reaper,
you are the lie.

Someday you will die.

Thanks to Force of Habit for this wonderful prompt. Apology for the darkness of this poem. We do face dark times and lies.
